Invitation to our family fest on Sat 06.06.2026

our annual Family Day to celebrate together! Anyone familiar with our Family Day celebration knows that it is our main event of the year, where we celebrate in a lively atmosphere and in large numbers. We therefore invite you and your family, partner & kids to celebrate with us on Saturday, June 06th 2026, starting at 12:00. Like every year, there will be food from the barbecue, drinks, and fun for young and old! We hope to see as many of you as possible on that day 🙂

We would also like to ask you to register through the Google Forms link in the email or notify one of the board members if you are joining, and with how many persons (how many adults and how many kids) as well as if you have any dietary restrictions, so we are able to plan ahead to minimize food waste! Thank you

FC Germania Helsinki vs FC St. Pauli on Fr 15.05.2026

FC Germania Helsinki will be playing a friendly match against FC St. Pauli on Friday, 15.05.2026 at 19:30 on KäPa Campus 1! The match is organized together with the official FC St. Pauli Finland fan club and there will be a “Dritte Halbzeit” including barbecue & drinks following the game. It will be a fun match that is open for players from all teams (First team, Akademie team, and Harraste team – Spots are limited) vs the Ü40 of St. Pauli – so no, it won’t be against their first team, that’s currently in the Bundesliga, but close enough 🙂

We would like to invite all of you to join us on KäPa Campus 1 to watch that spectacle and join us for some food and drinks after the match

Our M5 team qualified for the Roots Cup 2026 – Quarter final match on Sat. 04.07.2026 vs KyPa (Kotka)

Despite the season only being a few months old, our M5 team already wrote history, by qualifying for the Roots Cup 2026. The Roots Cup is a cup organized for the top 8 amateur teams from Finland based on their performance in the Suomen Cup. The quarter final will be played between FC Germania Helsinki and KyPa (M5) from Kotka in Lauttasaari TN on Saturday, 04.07.2026 at 12:00. If the team manages to win that game, they will advance to the semi final, which will be played in August against the winner of the QF match between Kaskö IK (M5) and LappBK (M5). The final will be held in the Tammela stadium in Tampere and will be shown live on Ruuttu. This massive achievement comes as a result of the team’s great performances and results during this year’s Miesten Suomen Cup, where they managed to reach the third round. Unfortunately, that’s also where the journey ended after a 2:4 loss against Jokerit FC (M4)

Other news from our teams

Just like last year, we organized a pre-season training camp in Eerikkilä Sport & Outdoor Resort, open for all members of the club from 24th to 25th April. The 16 participants who joined the camp were able to properly prepare themselves for the season during the two training sessions on Saturday and a voluntary fitness session on Sunday morning led by the coaches of our M5 team, Felix Fabian and Joonas Kananen. But the camp wasn’t just sports; it included a sauna evening and a Saturday evening hangout session in one of the two cabins, aka “Mökkis”, reserved for the teams. Thanks to Eerikkilä Sport & Outdoor Resort for the immaculate pitches, training conditions, and the food! Thanks also to LassoDrinks for sponsoring the refreshments during the training camp!

All our teams have now also switched to summer training, where the 11er teams will train on Thursdays and Sundays on the KäPa Campus with an additional training session on Tuesdays in Munkkiniemi. The 7er team is training on Fridays on the KäPa Campus. At the same time, the competitive season has also started for our teams. Our M5 team continues to compete in Miesten Vitonen (M5), while our Akademie team is competing in Miesten Kutonen (M6). Our Harraste team is playing in a division higher this season, and the level difference became evident right from the first match. At the Hantta Cup, our 7er team finished third in their group. Membership numbers for our teams remain very stable. The few departures over the winter have been offset by a couple of new signings.

News from our kids team

The FCGH Kids group successfully concluded the indoor season and is now looking forward to outdoor training. During the winter season, the 2016-Team finished sixth in the hobby category of the winter league after an exciting match for fifth place, including a penalty shootout. In the summer season, we are participating in two weekend tournaments. The younger children (ages 5–7) are enthusiastically joining in the training and bravely tackling practice games.

We are always happy to welcome new players! During the summer months, we usually train on Saturdays from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the KäPa Campus. Interested parents of children born between 2015 and 2019 are welcome to contact Silvia (silvia@fcgermania.fi).

Other news & upcoming events

We are happy to announce that the German school in Helsinki will be sponsoring us again this year, 2026, and will be the main sponsor of our kids’ teams. The German school in Helsinki has been an important partner for us as a club, but mainly for our kids’ teams. The kids’ team jerseys will proudly display the logo of the German school on their chests. We want to thank the German school in Helsinki for their support and the continuous partnership throughout the years!

On top of that, we want to thank Bruhn Spedition and Hetzner Online GmbH, who continue to support us financially and whose long-enduring sponsorship and partnership has made it possible to build such a club and community!
