Saisonvorschau 2021 – FC GERMANIA HELSINKI

Season Preview 2021 – FC GERMANIA HELSINKI

Even though playing soccer normally again seems far away at the moment, we are hoping for the best and will be ready once the season will start. Read about the ambitions of our first team and our opponents in our next season preview.

After finishing fourth in their first Vitonen season in 2020, the first team of FC Germania has been drawn into Group 5 where they will be facing some familiar teams such as Dynamo EstoFut, Jokerit FC, Puotinkylän Valtti Jalkapallo/2 and Käpylä Maanantai PP ’11 ry. Especially the Estonian community team Dynamo EstoFut is a tough nut to crack but also Jokerit FC is no pushover as FC Germania suffered their highest league defeat against them last season. With Spartak/Itä, a Russian community club, and Ruisku there are two relegated teams from Nelonen in the group as well. Our new Scotsman Mason will be looking forward to facing his old club Roihuvuoren Ruisku from East Helsinki. The group is completed with SAPA/2, FC POHU/Simpsons and HJK Töölö. If all goes according to schedule due to the Corona situation the season will start end of April with two games against each team.

  • Saisonvorschau 2021 – FC GERMANIA HELSINKI II (AKADEMIE)

Saisonvorschau 2021 – FC GERMANIA HELSINKI II (AKADEMIE)

Season Preview 2021 – FC GERMANIA HELSINKI II (AKADEMIE)

Can’t wait for the new season to start? We asked our scouting department to share some thoughts about the upcoming season.

First, we will have a look at our newly formed second team: FC Germania/Akademie has been drawn into Group 4 of league “Kutonen” (seventh division). Although they will play their first-ever season in 2021, some of the opponents are well-known as our first team faced them in their promotion season 2019. Such teams are the diplomat team of HDS/Express, Kurvin Vauhti/Partiz, Toukolan Teräs/Keparoi, and Helsingin Ponnistus/2 (previously known as Ponnistus/Peruskallio). Especially the matches against Kurvin Vauhti /Partiz will be a real test for the new FC Germania/Akademie team as they just missed promotion last season. The group is completed with the unknown teams of Etu-Töölön Urhot, FC POHU/Shrimps, HJK Helsinki/Töölön Ihme, Helsingin Kullervo/Überkleber, and FC Tavasti/FC Mojo. If everything goes according to plan, the season will start at the end of April with two games played against each opponent.
